A Comparison of Blackmagic Cinema Cameras

Funnily enough, I don't own a Blackmagic camera. Don't get me wrong, I love them. But I don't want a terabyte of data for every video project, and can live without the benefits of raw video.

Still, whenever I get my hands on a BMPCC, I absolutely love the footage they produce, and love how simple they are to use.

The idea behind this specification list was born when helping a friend pick out the right cinema camera for their needs, and realizing that there was no good comparison of the different Blackmagic Cinema and Studio cameras.

So, I spent a day pulling information from BlackMagic's spec sheets, and filling in some of the missing details from B&H Photo's product listings. (yes, the spec sheets were incomplete.)

If you find information that is wrong, if there is additional specs I should add, please reach out through my website's contact form.

Unfortunately, my blog post engine won't support a full-width Google Sheets, so you can view it at the LINK HERE:

Blackmagic URSA Cine 17K

Possibly the only 17K camera in existence, this bad boy can create as much as 16 Terabytes of data in an hour.
